“It is a dream to work for a museum that preserves the Declaration of Human Rights”
Maurizio Galante & Tal Lancman

The Carnavalet-Histoire de Paris Museum presents the history of the Capital, from its origins to the present day.

The Carnavalet Museum’s bookshop-shop, closed before the summer for renovations, has been completely redesigned and newly designed by Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman who wanted to make it a place of sharing; a place to discover.
The ceiling stages “the sky of Paris”, an installation made of thin hand-cut metal strips symbolizing an imaginary Paris where we find, in particular, Notre-Dame and the Eiffel Tower.
The two designers and scenographers of the place created a wallpaper for the cash register that brings together a selection of patterns inspired by what they saw in the museum. This visual has been declined on a line of derivative products.
